Common questions

The AI got my dish wrong. What do I do?
After a scan, if Khana AI asks a clarifying question, type your answer (for example, "it's goat curry, not potato") and tap Update analysis. The estimate recalculates. These corrections also help us improve accuracy for everyone.

How accurate are the estimates?
Khana AI estimates portions and hidden fats (ghee, tadka oil, cream) from a photo. Estimates are approximations, not measurements. They are intended for general wellness tracking, not medical or dietetic use.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Khana AI → Cancel Subscription. Cancelling at least 24 hours before your trial or renewal date prevents the next charge.

I reinstalled the app and my subscription is gone.
Open the app and tap Restore purchases on the paywall or in the You tab. If your subscription has expired, you'll need to subscribe again.

I lost my meal history after reinstalling.
By default your data lives on your device's account. To keep it across reinstalls and devices, go to You → Sign in with Apple. Signing in migrates your existing history.

How do I delete my account and data?
You → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, meal history, and settings. Note that deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that separately in iOS Settings.

A large thali failed to scan.
Very complex plates with many components can occasionally exceed our analysis limits. Try photographing the plate in two halves, or move slightly closer so items are clearly separated.
